I think this song says that soldiers go to war and never return because they die.

The song said that the war only make that the men died and the graveyard are filled with soldiers and flowers for their sad wifes.

I think that the message of this song is that the wars are good for any decree neither for the winner nor for the loser since in any of two decrees he dies people and his families are very sad.
